Laura Edgerton is a writer and photographer based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Laura is seeking agent representation for her literary novel, GOOD CHRISTIAN GIRL, which is about childhood religious trauma that continues into adulthood. She is currently at work on her next book, the sequel to GOOD CHRISTIAN GIRL.
As a photographer, Laura explores mental health themes through self-portrait and street photography, often preferring to shoot from the distorted perspective of long exposures. She is working on a new series, entitled The Chair, which explores the emotions behind everyday routines as they happen around an inanimate object. Additionally, she is continuing to develop a photo essay series, Churches in the South, which portrays various church buildings’ features from the personal lens of the psychological ramifications of religious abuse and their concurrent impact on mental illness.
